Bukchon, Dr. Fish, Temples, and Itaewon!

Today was the one day that Spencer didn't have to work during Corbin's trip so he got to spend the whole day with him! Per his request, we arranged to take Corbin to some places that neither of us had been! We started the day at Bukchon Hanok Village and then we went to Dr. Fish for some pedicures! In the afternoon we went to a couple of Buddhist temples! We ended the evening in Itaewon!

Bukchon Hanok Village was pretty cool! It's an area in Seoul that still has all the traditional houses! It's really cute! We had a really fun time! The pictures pretty much show everything there is to tell!

Dr. Fish was awesome! We went into a peaceful little massage parlor and they had us wash our feet. Then we sat on the edge of a big fish tank and put our feet in the water! Immediately, our feet were swarmed with fish! It was such a weird feeling! It was kind of tingly. Spencer and Corbin freaked out WAY more than I did which is probably not what any of us expected when we first walked in! After a minute you get used to it and it kind of feels good! We got 20 minutes! The fish supposedly chew on your calluses and dead skin but I'm not sure they actually have any particular goal as they chew!

We went to the Jogyesa Buddhist Temple which is right in downtown Seoul so it's pretty small and there's a lot of commotion around it! They had a lotus flower festival going on so the grounds were covered in lotus flowers! It was so pretty!

In the evening we went to the Bongeunsa Temple which is over in Gangnam. The grounds are a lot bigger and it's more secluded. We absolutely LOVED it. In fact, we decided, that when we do a temple stay we're going to do it at the Bongeunsa Temple! Also, we saw a raccoon wandering the premises so that's pretty cool!

After the temple, we went to Itaewon! We showed Corbin the hopping-est part of town! We went to an English pub and got some yummy bar food and a mojito! Then we went to another bar paid $12 for a piña colada. It was good, but way too small for the price! We definitely got ripped off. 😂
