Today is my 24th birthday! Whoopee! I got to talk with Mom and Dad and Emily and Gwen and Jacquelyn which totally made my day! The day was pretty chill though. We agreed to dog/house sit for the Livingston family in our branch while they are in the states visiting family for a couple of weeks so we moved over to their huge apartment in Yongsan. They're on the 23rd floor and you can't even imagine the gorgeous views they have from their floor to ceiling windows that are everywhere in their apartment. They have two dogs, Luke and Lilo. Luke is a big dog and Lilo is little. They're both super cute.
We spent the afternoon in because we've been so tired lately! We met up with the Simons around 6:30PM in Myeong Dong. We did street food for dinner and then we came up to our apartment to play games. Everyone but Giselle was able to make it. She had to babysit. We taught them how to play codenames! It was such a fun night! They surprised me with a delicious chocolate lava birthday cake that Sophia made. They sang me happy birthday and even had 24 candles for me to blow out! It was so thoughtful of them! We had such a fun time!
Spencer gave me my very own bucket of mini donuts in lieu of a birthday cake (cause we don't have an oven!) He even got the people at the bakery to put a birthday bow on it! He also gave me one of the handheld fans that all the Koreans walk around with here. I'm so excited about it! I told Spencer when we got here that I wanted one. He got me a pink one with minnie ears that lights up!
I had a great birthday! I loved spending the day with Spencer and friends! This is the 3rd time I've spent my birthday in a country other than the United States and each one has been special and memorable in it's own way, but I'm looking forward to the next time I get to celebrate my birthday in the states!
