Dinner with the Simons!

The Simons Family invited us over to their house for dinner today after church. Brian is an Orthopedic PA for the Army and Jessica is a licensed therapist. They have 7 kids. 3 of them are in college in Utah. We met the four youngest kids: Florence, Sophia, Diamond, and Giselle. Florence and Diamond are adopted from Liberia. We had a really fun evening getting to know their family. They are so outgoing and friendly. We had an extravagant fish dinner and a DELICIOUS brownie dessert that Sophia made. It was seriously so good.

The Simons have been in Korea since January. It's their second time living here, but when they came the first time they lived in Daegu which is further south. They have traveled all around Asia and have more fun trips planned when their older kids come to visit at the end of the summer.

We talked a lot about Spencer's career and he basically gave his fireside to the kids, as requested by Jessica. The kids had so much fun looking up pictures of Spencer on Instagram and asking their own questions. I think we'll enjoy their friendship while we're here. We have been so impressed by how kind and friendly the members of our branch have been since we arrived. People are so chatty and welcoming. It feels good to be with people who not only want to know who we are but are looking out for us. We were definitely meant to come to Seoul!
